Two-Person Primary — Will New Hampshire Be The Final Primary Contest For The GOP Nomination?
Many of Trump's supporters celebrated governor DeSantis dropped out and endorsed former President Trump on his Truth Social platform.
Governor DeSantis decided to suspend his presidential campaign because he believes that there was no clear path to victory and the poll suggests that he would finish third place in New Hampshire Primary. For that reason he would not want his supporters to devote their time and energy to run the campaign without a victory insight, therefore, he suspended his campaign and endorsed former President Trump for President.
The most recent polls came out ahead of New Hamshire Primary, which shows that former President Trump is still dominating the polling with over 87.9% New Hampshire voters will back him while just 12.1% supporting for former governor Nikki Haley.
Although former governor Haley picks up few endorsements recently, former President Trump continues to get more and more endorsements and is currently having the most GOP's supports and endorsements for President. In order to win the GOP nomination for President, candidate must get at least 1,215 delegates to win. Trump is currently having 20 delegates in his book and Haley has 8 delegates. The most important thing to consider is the path forward to the GOP nomination, and Trump is currently the frontrunner and presumably to be the GOP nominee based on the polling.
Noted that Trump did not participate in any of the GOP debates, and he still maintains a strong lead in all the national polls from the beginning of the presidential race. Iowa Caucus's victory proof that Trump is still the leader in the Republican Party, and Trump has called on all GOP Candidates to unite behind him and focus on defeating President Joe Biden this November general election.
