Why is business networking important? Business networking is a powerful tool and is one of the most effective ways that you can use to drive your business successfully and at a low cost. It also gives you an opportunity to get to your potential customers or partners that can be very difficult to get to more easily. Business networking is doing just that where you can reach your business goal through business relationships rather than through advertisement, which can cost you a fortune. You can get referred from one to another through your network until you get to where you wanted. Thus, when you have a strong network, it can save you lots of money, hours, and efforts, and you can still carry out your business the way you want.

Business networking is very important because once you have developed a strong connection with other business partners, you can reach your goal more easily and effectively through professional communication and referral. It will take time to build the network and the relationship, but once they are established, you will appreciate the efforts that you have given, and it will pay off at the end.

Thus, building a strong business networking is like building an opportunity for you to reach your goal more easily and successfully. It is also a good tool for you to get your message across without spending too much money on advertising, and you still get the same result or better. It is recommended that you need to try to build your network even before you start your business because it gives you an opportunity to explore, and see how you can move your business forward through the business networking.

On the other hand, business networking is not just for business. It can also be for personal and career advancement. Business networking can get you hired for a job if you are the best fit for an organization that you want to set your foot into. Any new job will be started with an interview where you can show your interviewer your skills, knowledge, and experience that you can make a difference for the company.

Preparing for an interview can be really stressful because you don’t know what to expect from the interviewers. You will try everything you can to impress them, but it is still going down to one of the most important parts of the interview, which is how you can secure the job. This can be very hard to know because there are other talented candidates who perform just like you or even better than you.

Well, while you don’t know what to expect on the outcome, there are something that you can do to improve your chances to be at the top, or even get a job offered right after an interview. Here are a few suggestions:

1) Dress to success - You must show you can dress at or better than the interviewers. First impression is very important, and you must dress to success.

2) Be early and on time - You never want to be late on the interview date regardless of whatever reasons you have. If you can’t make it early or on time to your scheduled interview, then you have already failed the interview. Therefore, you must be early and on time to your scheduled interview.

3) Be prepared - Although you do not know what to expect from the interviewers, you must always be prepared. The key is that you must know and understand the job you are applying and every aspect of it. You must read the job description thoroughly and know as much as you can from the administrative to technical areas. Again, you don’t know what the interviewers will ask you, but be prepared and know everything about the job you are applying is the key.

4) Be confident - You must be confident and show that you are capable of doing the job if selected. Of course, if you have never done the job before, you may not know how to do it. However, it doesn’t mean that you can’t do the job. You must show that you can do it if you get a chance to work it. Therefore, being confident is very important to the interviewers because they will judge you, not just your skills but also your confidence in handling the job.

5) Be respectful - You must keep your eye contact with the interviewers when listening or answering the questions. You want to show the interviewers that you are engaging with them throughout the interview and respect every question or comment that they made.

6) Be you - You must be genuine when answering the questions. Answer based on your knowledge and do not exaggerate something you don’t know. Be you at all times. The interviewers would rather see an honest candidate than an exaggerated person.

According to the data released by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), "In Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, CBP seized more than 27,000 pounds of fentanyl, compared with over 14,600 pounds in FY 2022. CBP’s fentanyl seizures have increased more than 800% since FY 2019.  This data is only about the deadly fentanyl drug that goes across the US Southern border. Human trafficking and terrorists are the worst because in September 2023, the CBP's total encounters along the southwest border in September were 269,735, and out of this group of illegal migrants try to enter the US, CBP doesn't know how many bad actors terrorists were released into the communities.
